For those who have a Canon scanner or all-in-one:

Every time you preview or scan something, do you get a pop up message saying "Processing calibration data from a scanner"?
I have a Canon Pixma MP600 all-in-one and using Scangear.

Is it normal for that message to pop up all of the time? Does Canon scanners need to calibrate all the time?

How to make a back up copy of a Playstation 2 game?
I have some games that are beginning to show a lot of wear on them. I have been told that it is legal for me to make a back up copy of a playstation 2 game. How do I do this? What software/hardware do I need? Keep in mind that I don't have a lot of computer skills. Thanks.

So there i was bought my webcam in iraq...lost the disc and nobody seems to have a driver....all i know is it says UiTon the cam has four led lights surrounding the lens and it clips to my laptop...when i plug it in the pc says..something about single chip aaaaack I just need a driver for this cam...pleasehelp

I had the power jack replaced because it was broken, it would charge some and turn on before it was fixed, but now it won't charge or turn on the charge light doesn't come on even. Does anybody know what is causing the problem, or now how I can get it fixed without having to pay the same price as what a new computer would be. Does it have a power reset button that has to be activated because I don't know where it is if it has one, and I couldn't find out if it did or didn't.

I got a new computer a few months ago...
I got a new game for Xmas
The game will not play it's (Civilization 3)

It says I have to have: Hard Disk Space 1.7 GB Free to play it
I went to Disk Defrag and this is what it says:
Used space = 8.02 GB
Free space = 443 MB
(Percent Free Space = 5%)

Now this is what it says when I try to defrag: Volume (D) has only 5% free space. To run effectively disk defrafmenter requires at least 15% useable free space, there is not enough disk space. Delete some unneeded files on your hard disk and the try again.

BUT the computer was already like that when I bought it, it came saying that and only had 5% Hard Disk Space Free!
So what do I do, what do I need to remove to free up space and be able to play the game I bought?

I only have one other game installed on the PC and well I have like Yahoo Messenger and windows media player, and just the normal stuff!

I have an emachines and I want to add more RAM because it is starting to slow down. My question is how much RAM can I add. Here's the info on my computer right now.

Almost every time I insert a CD or DVD into the DVD combo drive, it restarts my computer. Do you have any ideas what would be the cause of this? I have a custom built computer, AMD Sempron, 80 GB hard drive and 768 RAM. The computer is less than a year old. Any ideas as to the reason and a way to stop this from happening would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for the answers.

i use dell inspiration 1150 with dvd+RW....my dvd batter won't work. i just brought new battery and stilll not working.....i have to always stay connect to powerline in order to use the computer. i don't see any problem with dvd device and it's not work. i updated the computer from microsoft website and still having same problem....can someone tell me how to fix these problem...battery and dvd device...thnx in a advace

What type of Video card is compatible with my comp. It's a HP Pavilion a520n. i have a g3 and when it boots, it shows a shite screen with a folder icon and a question mark, meaning it cant boot the hard drive or the HD isnt connected. i was gona connect the hard drive but i dont know whether it is more convinient to access it from the bottom, by taking off the whole bottom part, or throught teh top, when you take of the keyboard, and then a few other parts.

also does anyone know if the harware test and other cd's that come with itm i lost the, are they somehow accesable from online
