I have an emachines and I want to add more RAM because it is starting to slow down. My question is how much RAM can I add. Here's the info on my computer right now.
eMachines,
D3415,
AMD Sempron(tm) Processor,
3400+,
2.01 GHz, 384 MB of RAM,
Physical Address Extension.

Go to http://crucial.com and run their free scanner.
They will give you all of the info needed to upgrade your memory
What type,speed, how much etc..

Depends on how much your motherboard can hold. If you have an older machine most likely max is 2 gig, all you probably need is a gig anyways. Make sure you find out the speed of RAM of which your motherboard will support before you just go out there and buy some. Plus if you want to run dual channel has to be same speed/capacity per corrosponding banks..
