How to make a back up copy of a Playstation 2 game?
I have some games that are beginning to show a lot of wear on them. I have been told that it is legal for me to make a back up copy of a playstation 2 game. How do I do this? What software/hardware do I need? Keep in mind that I don't have a lot of computer skills. Thanks.

I hate to break the news, but backing up PS games can be a headache. The software needed is Alcohol120%. The rest of the answer(s) would take up a LOT of space. To save me some typing and to make it easier for you try these sites:
afterdawn.com
Doom9,org

Afterdawn is my fav. Use the search function. The free user forums are the best bet for info with dedicated fanatics who will be happy to help in depth.

As an extra note: PSs will not play copied games. You will need a mod chip or boot disk to play them. These are getting hard to find as both $ony and M$ are suing the companies since most applications of these products is for using pirated copies gotten of P2P networks like bittorrent. It can be done, but it has a learning curve as well as a price tag. The bootdisks are about $20-$30 US which aint to bad as price tags go. Check out modking for some prices then hit Google for more sites.

Good luck and Happy New Year!!
