My computer after a while goes to sleep mode after 20 minutes. Of course, to "wake" it up you either move the mouse or push a button on the keyboard. Lately though, it's been waking itself up while no one's around the computer. Any ideas on why it would be doing this?

hey all my ethernet cable keeps losing my internet connection,how can i change my main connection from ethernet to usb? do i have to install any new hardware? when i try to use the usb cable supplied with my laptop my internet won't connect at all.please help! i'm on windows xp with an advent laptop.

I just bought a new laptop with media center xp sp2 and of course it has the usual commercial garbage, memory hogging applications i dont want or need. So I want to wipe it out and just load the operating system. Then I can configure startups, registry, services, etc...It came with no xp cd. I downloaded a couple of media center cd's and when i enter the key on the bottom of the machine they don't work. I know that many keys are now linked to the bios. The recovery partition has the os but also the crap that comes with it. How can I just load the os and use the key i paid for? I hate how new computers run. So full of junk.

Hello to all experts there.I am facing a headache problem with my PC.Sometimes when i run program like real player to play movie, then the monitor will turn to black without any warning....i try to click the keyboard bt the problem remain.
I wonder whether it is due to my motherboard,or the Ram or something wrong with the graphic card?
I also try to restart my pc....bt what i get is a long "ti........." sound....then i give my pc a kick and restart again....then it go smooth again......for god sake....pls help me.....

When ever I turn my computer monitor on It will work perfectley for about 30 mins and after that the screen will appear to shake and the hole picture will come in to the middle and after it doing that for about 10mins it will go black. When ever i leave it off for about 2 or 3 mins it will be great for about 5 ,mins. Does anyone know any thing that i can do to fix it.
