I'm a software developer and im looking for a laptop , What do u think about the Dell Inspiron 6400 (Core Duo 2.0 GHZ , 1GB RAm , 120 HDD)
Is it good or should i look for sth else ??

I would be looking for dedicated graphics ... otherwise that sounds like a reasonable machine ... depending on price of course

Sounds pretty sweet actually. The Core Duo 2 is a nice CPU. Watch out for the Sony batteries, though. Personally, I'd take the Mac with a DualCore Intel. Macs are multitalented now. Sorry, AMD. =( (Edit: the fire thing is from the battery overheating)

stay away from dell brand. dell sucks! their product especially the service which is in india (call service). youve been warned!
i have a dell product and i regreted buying the damned piece of crap! buy something else but dell!

i would stear clear of that brand!
there was a big thing in australia on a current affair a few weeks back.
they catch fire for no apparent reason!
