The properties show A varying 62% to 74% resources available. With about 21+ gig available. I dump cookies, and run the tools often. Defrag,run disk cleanup. The system runs very slow,freezes up, get booted from internet regularly. HELP PLEASE

I know its probably very simple, but I never adjust any of my computer screens settings. Okay the desktop that shows up when you turn your computer on (Im running Microsoft XP) that has the blue strip at the bottom with the start menu and shows what web page you are on, well my 2yr old somehow moved it to the top instead of the bottom. It may not be a big deal but it annoys the crap out of me. Please help me fix this!!

Windows XP Home , no sound or Ethernet after re -installiing OS , All drivers are installed , and enabeled . My ethernet device as well as sound device , video , and modem are all sitting on IRQ 11, these are listed in system info as forced hardware . And when i try to play a cd it tells me there is no playback device installed. no drivers instaled because the device has a problem. (This an Intell 954G)
chipset GMA900 . This is a DX300S , Intell Motherboard.

I have a new pc that I've have been adding mods to increase it's performance. But I'm concerned about heat. Is it possible to install a case fan into my pc with cutting a hole into it? I know that the hot air must be let let out in order to cool. I must say that I'm alittle more than scare to measure and cut into my case.. I do however have a air hole on the side of the case.. Can I use that?

I installed an old hp 120 gb hard drive in an external enclosure. My computer recognizes only the 5 gb recovery partition of the drive rather than the main part of the drive. Any one have any ideas?

i was thinking of getting a macbook and had a few questions

1. Does software like limewire pro work with macbook
2. is it true that macbook can run windows
3. if i were to take a dvd that i just recorded from my dvd camcorder can i put it in my macbook and edit it and then burn it again to play on a regular home dvd player
4. Is a macbook compatable with games for a computer like age of empires
5. when they say that macbook can run windows does this means that if you have software that is compatiable with the macbook software then you can still download it in the windows software part of the macbook.

I need/want to buy a laptop and I'm on a strict budget. I have heard from some people that Macs are great and run a lot better than PCs. I also found one that is pretty cheap. I'm used to using PC desktop computers, so I'm a little bit nervous about switching to a Mac. Would I have to buy all sorts of extra things for it? Anyone who uses one-do you like it? It is a Dell desktop, about 4 years old, with a 2Ghz processor and 256k of RAM. I ran a virus scan, didn't find anything, I don't need to defragment my hard drive. Any other ideas?

i added ca security suite that caused to slow down a little.i added the drivers for my dv minicam and it goes off on its own when i boot up it brings up the add new hardware screen for bonjour, ulead burner helper, and the driver. hp was no help.they sent me a pdf with steps to increase my available memory because they say that is the problem.please i need my computer!!!!!!!111help!!!!!!!! and yes i only have 256 mb of ram running illustrator cs2 so i'm not sure memory is my problem. everything is just slow.
