5. yes

If you are fairly close to an Apple store, go in and ask. They will happily spend ages showing you all the tricks a Mac can do. When I bought a Mac about a year ago, I went in with a written list of questions and they answered them honestly. I have never felt let down.

BTW if you are looking at hooking the macbook up to a printer make sure you have the latest drivers. That's probably been the worst aspect of having a Mac, for me. It took me ages to sort out - a whole TEN MINUTES. Trust me, once you've been bitten by the Mac bug you will never look at a PC again.

1. Sure does. There are plenty of P2P clients for Mac. Most are better than PC P2P clients.

2. Very true. Windows XP runs great on an Intel Mac, as it's fully native.

3. Yes, iDVD is for just exactly that.

4. Yes, if it's not made for Mac, you can use BootCamp to run it under Windows XP. This means that you can play ANY PC or Mac game.

5. Well, Mac software does not run on Windows XP and vice versa, but in most cases, there are alternatives. For instance, there are versions of Microsoft Office for Mac and Windows, but they are different. There are lots of applications that are made for both, such as Firefox and Photoshop. In any case, you can run anything on a Mac.
