As a graphic designer/ web developer what are the pros and cons of using an Apple MacBook

Pros

Less viruses
GREAT graphics
GREAT software for graphics
extremely fast
easy-to-use and stable OS (Mac OS X)
great laptop design


Cons

Some software isn't available for mac (although Photoshop, Dreamweaver and most web design applications are)

Well, there are pros and cons to this issue. The pro is that if you dont know how to use anti-virus software you dont have to get out the Norton or McAfee cd and learn how to install an automatically installing program. The con is that you will be laughed at forever by any graphic designers/web developers who actually know what there doing (ie. the ones who use windows or linux).

There are no cons to using a MacBook. There isn't much that Mac OS X can't do, and should you find something that Mac can't do, you can run Windows XP using BootCamp or Parallels. Don't listen to him, no one will laugh at you for using a Mac. Macs are well known to be the best computers for creative professionals. Here's another great thing... The MacBooks have now been upgraded to the Core 2 Duo processor, making them 64-bit. Mac OS X supports 64-bit, unlike Windows XP. I could give you so many reasons to switch to Mac. PROS:
Great looking laptop (your are a designer after all, you should have something that looks good)
No viruses.
Affordable.
Apple's great customer service and AppleCare protection plan.
Speed- The new Core2Duo will make running programs like Photoshop much faster.
All files are compatible with any model laptop, PC or otherwise.

CONS:
None.
