technical advice welcome

I tried everything I could, I consider myself an advanced windows user. Can anyone give me recommendations or tell me why when I listen to streaming audio no software I use to record picks up any sound from the pc.

my old video card died. It was a Radeon 9800 pro. I am thinking of getting the geforce 7600 because it is very affordable and it is 2 generations newer than my radeon.

The funny thing is this: The Radeon 9800 pro has a 256 bit memory bus, and the geforce 7600 has a 128 bit memory bus. This was a big factor in picking out a high performance card 2 years ago. Will this mean the geforce 7600 will not be much faster than the old card I had?

Is getting a card with 256 memory bus really important? Should I get a 6800 gt instead of the 7600? Please explain your answer.

my pc is hp pavilion a1023c desktop and it has conventional pci parts, which nvidia geforce is recommended for play this game, the box says at least a geforce 6 series, but only i found pci-e or agp, where can i find a normal pci video card on ebay and what model?

I am from the UK, and everything on my keyboard works fine except for a few keys. The most annoying is the pound sign displays # instead. And pressing shift then 2 gives me @. For the @ button, it gives me " for some reason. That's about it. Is it the Country the keyboard's assigned to? The computer monitor had some trouble changing to different modes (I have an LCD TFT that has digital and analogue modes), but the other users' keys are fine, it's just my user name. Can someone please help????

Right now i have an Intel Pentium 4 32-Bit processor at 2.4Ghz. I found and AMD Athlon 64-Bit processor at the same clock speed (2.4Ghz). I have two questions about this processor:
1. Will it still run slower or faster then my 2.4Ghz 32-Bit Intel?
2. If i run a 32-Bit program will it still run like my current Intel Processor since it is 32-bit and runs at 2.4Ghz?
I saw this AMD Athlon 64 on a Compaq.

The noise is from the computer unit itself, so not the monitor or speakers or anything. Often, it will turn itself off after the beeping starts. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

I'm buying a new case with a new power supply, new fans for the case, a new motherboard and an amd processor 2.2ghz 3700+.. so anyways i'm buyin it from tigerdirect.com as i'm gettin the best deal but the catch is i can't return the stuff.. I removed the harddrive, the floppy drive and two CD RW things from my old case and i'm going to put them into the new case and then connect them to the new motherboard, processor, powersupply etc.. so i'm not sure if it'll work out as some ppl say if I have windows XP on my old harddrive the thing will act wierd.. I don't have the original cd i installed the windows XP from into the old harddrive so if this'll work out its gonna be great.. Just need some explanations and answers from u guys.. and also my old processor was an Intel Celeron 2.5ghz.. so its goin from an intel to amd and a lot more powerful and a new mobo so will it work with the harddrive r no?? thats the big question.. Thanx for all ur responses ppl.. appreciate it a lot!!
