The best/fastest will be the UMTS ones that use GPRS as fallback. If/when you are in an area that has UMTS you will have a connection many times faster. If that is not an option, then any GPRS modem with EDGE technology will be faster than one without. (EDGE is an enhanced data speed for GPRS).
