I have an Acer Aspire 3624WXCi and can't find anywhere on that site about upgrading the cdrw/dvd combo drive. I want to put in a dvdrw drive and I'm new to notebooks so need information on this.

its an ibm personal computer 300 GL. has pentium 2 400mhz, 128mb of ram and 6.4 gb hard disc, with 80 gb external hard disk.
should i buy:
ram (what type?)
or processor (will every type work with this motherboard or not?)

I bought an ipod at the start of the year, and loaded itunes onto my laptop at home (not connected to the net). I have recently moved abroad and do not have my laptop with me. I have downloaded loads more songs from limewire onto my work comp and would like to connect my ipod to load them on. However, I'm afraid that if I connect my ipod, I'll lose my songs that are already on there. Can anyone advise??? I know that at home, if I want to delete songs on my ipod, I remove them from the itunes and then they are deleted when I plug the ipod into the computer. Please help!!!

I have installed a Philips DVD/CD Rewriter Drive, Model: SPD2400. When I put in a DVD, the movie plays, but there is no sound. I asked the shop where I bought it from, and they gave me a sound cable, to connect from the DVD Rewiter to the Motherboard. I have connected this in the only way that seems possible, but still, no sound. Yet when I put a music CD in, there is sound! Am I doing something wrong? I cant go back to the shop yet, as I bought it in England, and I am presently in Germany.

I've heard about both, but how are they different? Is the SATA slower? If so, is it because of the cache size? I saw a SATA II advertised but when I went to look at the specs, it had dropped the II and was now a SATA so I now I'm confused. If it's all in the cache, then I understand, if not, I'm really confused.

my niece's system won't boot up,asking for system disk.
When I put in system disk it goes thro' the routine of copying files then comes up "this system appears to have no hard drive".
I put her drive into my system as a slave but the only option I have is to format drive. Any way of by-passing this as she has loads of family pics etc. that she cannot replace. Before I get reminded of the importance of 'back up' I know!!!!

When I turned on my laptop, the sony logo light up, then "Window Me" logo show up, but flickers, then the screen just go black. I can hear the hard drive is working and spinning, but I just get a totally black screen.

Bluetooth headset: Sony Ericsson HBH-600
Driver for that: Nothing
Computer: Notebook computer with no integrated bluetooth
OS: Windows XP Service Pack 2
Bluetooth stack: Default (WinXP one)
Bluetooth adapter: Billington USB bluetooth adapter
Driver for that: Nothing

I know how to use my headset with my phone. But could not use the headset with my notebook. How can I use the headset as a audio out/in device with the notebook. What more do I need. (Drivers etc.)
