Yes they can. Just make sure the speed of both are the same
pc133 etc....

Yes...as long as they are the same type RAM. if they are different speeds, the computer will automatically run at the slower speed of the two.

* same Type of RAM ... (eg DDR od SD)
* RAM speed (Eg 100Mhz, 133 Mhz 233Mhz 333Mhz 400Mhz)
Ram spped and type should match, and No matter of which brand or company

Your computer doesn't care what company the RAM came from, Your computer cares if it is the correct, compatible RAM type.

The amount of RAM you need depends on what you use your PC for. The brand is very important, if you can afford it go for 512MB X 2
