Hardware - June 2006

I decided it would be great fun to throw water over my keyboard yesterday. Today, everything works fine except for space bar, b, n, alt, control. I went at it with a hairdryer, does anyone have any other recommendations? Could it still recover a few days after the incident?

My monitor flickers and shows vertical bands of colour. The coloured stripes are like a barcode and the width and order of the colours changes every time it flickers. It covers the whole screen and then goes back to normal. I have replaced monitor with identical new one so monitor itself is ok. I have put computer back to factory condition and everything else works ok. I have done full virus/spyware/adware checks and am not infected. Any ideas will be appreciated.

my hewlett packard laptop screen ran down black. altough I can see the computer starting normally, and the windows open normally too, my LCD screen is dark. What should I do? The repairs would cost a lot but no one can tell me why the screen slowly ran black. Found a post at a forum, this happens sometimes to the screens. Can someone help me or suggest me a solution?

I have Systems Mechanics 6 installed, and i run it quite often. Today when i tried to run it, I had a message come up that said, my virtual memory was to low to run it. Then on something else, I had one that said I had no memory. What can I do to correct this? Thanks for anything, anyone can tell me to help.

They were working fine until 3 days ago, but now I can't hear the Windows start up and shut down music, neither can I hear any of my songs on Windows Media Player. I really want it to work now because I want to play this game andI'll need my speakers. Please help!

I uninstall it and re install it and then it works fine for a while. It isn't difficult to do but it's a nuisance. Any ideas about why it quits and how I can keep it from doing that?

i turned my pc on but the monitor is not workin... but when i unplug th connection between the monitor and the CPU, "no signal "display on the monitor but when i try to connect it back again, the monitor suddenly turns off and the green light of the monitor is blinking.. what's supposed to be the exact problem? is it the video card or the memory or the monitor.
