They were working fine until 3 days ago, but now I can't hear the Windows start up and shut down music, neither can I hear any of my songs on Windows Media Player. I really want it to work now because I want to play this game andI'll need my speakers. Please help!

The drivers are all connected. In Control Panel it says that the drivers and device is working properly. As for the connection, the green light is on which shows that the connection isn't faulty. Is there a way around this?

Do you plug the green thingy from your speaker to the back of your CPU? The green hole...

did you check that the speaker icon in the task bar is not in the mute mode? double click this icon and make sure that the volume is at the maximum. You can also try to go to the Control Panel> Sounds and Audio Devices and make sure it's enabled and there's nothing on the mute mode.
Last thing to try right click on My Computer>Properties> go to the Hardware Tab and click on the button (Device Manager) check that the Sound, video and game contollers is active and NOT having a yellow icon which indicates that there's an error. if there's an error, you have to reinstall the audio driver for your computer. Could be your speakers faulty or your sound-card drivers is not functioning properly. I would advise you to check your system for sound drivers and check your sound-card.

have you properly connected the cable to your sound card. also check if, the drivers have been installed correctely.

go to the control panel sounds and audio or multimedia if not running xp and make sure ur card is in there

Try a pair of headphones.

See if you can hear anything.
