i called the shop i got the monitor from, they say it normal it's like that for a sony trinitron tube.. is that true?

If it is a very faint line, it's normal.

I'm sitting in front of a Trinitron, and it has 2 lines from internal support wires, one high, one low. It's true.

The key here is you said you had a flat CRT, not an LCD. It is doubtful that a CRT would develop a straight line of bad pixels.

I don't see how that could possibly be normal.

Have you tried doing a search on google or yahoo for the answer?

Type in your monitor's name brand and go directly to that site's web site. Then look for an assistance or services button. They should be able to help you.

no i dont think so......

it means that a line of LEDs are not working
and u should ask for a replacement bcos u didnt pay to be put off by that stupid line

there are very small lines between rows of pixles. if you only see it in the middle and it thinker than, say, .005mm, then it is a row of busted pixles. they played you man, go and return it and buy one from www.newegg.com

No. Check Wires for lose connection. Get your powersupply checked.
