i work for company with multiple dsl connections. I would like to combine these dsl lines into one using a device. i know that there is a hardware that can answer the problem. Dlink DSL500 is one but it can only connect two dsl lines. If there are other easy to install/implement hardware that can accomodate 4 or more dsl lines, please help me find it. or other brand other than Dlink. a wireless capability would be better.

thanks in advance.

My office is under a major renovation project and various wireless access points have been installed and mounted to the ceiling. They will not be hooked to the existing LAN for another month or two. Right now they only have electric.

I would like to configure them, but it seems my only option is to set up my laptop on a ladder and run a crossover cable to the unit to configure it. That's a pain.

How can I do the same thing wirelessly? I can make a connection wirelessly (with 'limited connectivity'), but I can't browse to the access point's IP address wirelessly, unless I use a crossover cable. Any ideas?

I would like to use 2 ISP simultaneously in my LAN.
Bandwith from each ISP is 2Mbps. I would like to browse at 4Mbps speed.

I wanna do this with windows only with no additional high-end router or other device.
Can it be done using windows Network Load Balancer(NLB)?

When ever I type my default gateway numbers into the adressbar and the window pops up. This window asks for the username and password. I've heard that you don't need to type a username but you do need a password. I typed "admin" (without the " ") and i click Ok. Then the same window keeps popping up. What am I doing wrong?

Today I purchased a netgear wireless router to connect my Dell computers Comcast internet to the 2002 ibook I was recently given. The ibook previously ran an Enternet 300 program for their internet.

First I loaded the program onto the Dell and I know have the router hooked up to the modem.

However when I tried to load the disc onto my ibook after chosing a language and picking set up it came up with a bulletin that said "an error ocurred while parsing the TML file" and it was headed as being an Internet Script error.

The specialist at the Radioshack I went to did not know how to solve the problem and I found it incredibly hard to work with customer support at NetGear.

I was hoping that somebody could bring to light what the problem is and how to fix it.

Thank you (in advance), Jessica

I just purchased a Linksys WRT150N Wireless-N router and Linksys Wireless-N notebook card and still cannot get a good connection downstairs. I was wondering if there is any way to use my old Linksys WRK54G as a repeater or use it anyway to boost the signal to downstairs. Thanks!

Ok, we have 2 computers (one is running Vista 32-bit, the other XP Pro) on one cable broadband connection via a router. Both want to run torrent at the same time but without dramatically slowing down other internet programs, mainly internet explorer. We have tried setting download/upload limits in the torrent clients but if both machines are running torrent one machine always seems to get priority over the other and internet browsing becomes impossible. Is there anything that we can do to allow both machines to get fair download speeds and still be able to browse the internet?

Is there any way of making my BT Broadband quicker. I'm on Option 3 and getting around 5meg. I have the hub connected to the master socket, installed by the BT engineer, and I also have two other sockets around the house, one for Sky and one for the upstairs landline. All have microfilters on them with no extension leads. Does it really matter that these microfilters are on these sockets, as I don't really use them. Also, does it help to directly plug the hubs telephone line into the back of the wall socket rather than the front - As I've read this may help?

I know the person with the router is able to see which websites you visit, but can they only see which web mail servers you use (yahoo, gmail) or can they read the actual emails in your inbox, etc?

I'd appreciate explaining what it is they see on their end (a simple URL log, or more?).

Also, I heard SSL encryption can prevent this...how do I get this for gmail and yahoo? Any other ways to prevent my actual emails from being read?

(And for those who are wondering, I just use the wifi to do a little faster surfing, I have my slooooow own connection.)

I think this has something to do with a setting in the gateway or DNS. I am not sure how to configure this. I am able to use another computer through the same router to connect, so I know its not that. Also, I am able to browse the internet fine after VPN has been shut down. Please Help!

In particular, I want the router to support:

* gigabit ethernet,

* 802.11n,

* be easily configurable so I can route ports to services running on multiple machines connected to it, and,

* I'd like to be able to potentially run an alternate OS (ie be able to flash the router to run a "hacked" OS that's more configurable than what the device ships with out of the box).

Bonus points if it can turn a Firewire/USB 2.0 harddrive into a NAS device!!

Thanks for the tips!!
