hey,

.try removing the tool bar from the control panel-->ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS - from the list it generates, remove all suspicious programs.

Else try a software http://www.ccleaner.com/ is a really good one.
Also another one called Search and Destroy - useful for removal of spyware and adware will work .

It's probably full of junk files. Try these steps:

First, delete the temporary internet files. Go to the "help" function in the browser you use, and search for "temporary internet files", and find out how to delete them.

Second, defrag the computer. First, be sure that any screen saver is disabled. Then right-click on "start", and select "explore". Right click again on the C: drive, and select "Properties". You can see how much space your disk drive can hold, and does hold here. Click on the "Tools" tab, and select "Defrag", "Defrag now", etc. Now walk away for 30-60 minutes to let it run. Defragging reorganizes fragmented files into a more cohesive structure to make it easier for your system to find the data it needs. Once it's done, start from the beginning on this section again, and see how much disk space you have available now. If you're much more than half full, it might be time to consider a bigger or another hard drive.

Finally, consider buying more memory. Click on "Start", then "control panel". Doubleclick on "System", and then click on the "general" tab. Look at how much memory (RAM) you have. Use the website below to see how much memory your system can hold. The information you need to tell what system you have is on the "system" page that you just opened up.

Adding usually a cheap way to upgrade your system. The instructions to install the memory are on this site as well. Consider getting an anti-static strap when you buy the memory. It's cheap insurance to keep you from goobering your system when you install the memory chips.

If you have been downloading a lot of stuff, you problably have spyware.

Spyware is a vague term used to describe any software that installs onto your computer without your permission. Most often, it is used in order to display ads on your computer. However, it is also commonly used to record your keystrokes, thus stealing your passwords. Spyware only exists for Microsoft Windows, not Linux, BSD, Mac, or any other operating system.

The easiest way to remove spyware and keep it away is to remove Windows. I would recommend an upgrade to Ubuntu Linux. It is free, as is almost all the software for it. You will find it to be much easier to use, more reliable, and far more customizable than Windows.

If you do stick with Windows, either because you cannot switch or are just being stupid, follow these steps to get and keep your computer relatively clean of spyware.

Remove It:
Removing spyware can be a tricky process. For this reason, you should use multiple applications to scan your computer for spyware and remove it. This way if one application misses something, another will get it.

I recommend installing and using two of the following for good protection (links point to reviews of the software. Download link can be found on the page):

Avoid Getting It:
No amount of anti-spyware software is going to keep you completely clean. Anyway, do you really want to be going through the removal process multiple times per week? To supplement your anti-sypware software, use common sense and be careful what you install. Most spyware comes into your system bundled in freeware applications. Only download software from trustworthy sources such as download.com, softipedia, and SourceForge.

And remember, as I stated in the beginning of the article, all of this trouble is needless. You can just switch to Linux and get rid of it all. Why everyone does not do so is beyond me.
