I was sitting at home one morning and noticed my router and modem's lights were flashing so I checked out the list of "attached devices" to my router. Suprisingly enough, I found an unauthorized device (wireless computer) on my network (I had no other computers turned on at that point). I have a print screen of the MAC Address and Device name now, so what can I do with those bits of information? Also, my network was secured with 128 bit encryption (WEP)--which means he/she broke through the security protocols and I JUST turned off my wireless SSID Broadcast. What else can I do to secure my network?

I am thinking of setting up a paid wifi hotspot business in a small town. I need a wifi antenna that can cover an area of about 20km in radius. Can anyone out there with IT knowledge tell me the type and brand of omni directional wifi antenna to use? I intend to use only a single antenna to serve the radius. If you have links to website of the product, kind give it to me.

Right now I'm in a cybercafe with 14 other people. To me, the internet is slowing down when more people use it in a cybercafe. But I still wonder if that is actually true. Even if the cybercafe has a very large space for a hundred computers, would the flow of the internet still be affected by the number of peolpe using it ?

I cannot find a connection with any network. I also have a laptop that connects to my network perfectly. Why can't I connect my 2nd desktop to the internet like how my laptop connects it?

I want to clear iDisk from my desktop and my username for my Macbook is Auzy47. Therefore, it has picture of iDisk with my username under it and I want it to be clear from desktop (but not throw away FOREVER). However, when I tried to drag that icon into the trash can, it said disconnect.

I'm afraid what it would happen and I don't know what that's mean.

I just want to clear that icon from desktop and how would you do that?

I am a week MacBook user today...

thanks in advance...
