All Routers come with there Utility that allows you set up wireless security, on most you type in 192.168.1.1 and this opens the Router Utility and under security you must set up a username and password that enables users to use your Network. Most have 3 different degree's of security.
WEP,WPA,and WPA-2 the latter being the most secure, however some of the older equipment including the operaating system will only allow the WEP setting, You will have to check. One last thing, get out the paperwork that came with your router it gives you a step by step.
