Which one? NetGear makes a lot of them.

The model I have works well.

The question is rather vague. Signal strength is regulated by the FCC because the wireless signal is an unlicensed radio signal. All makers target their signal at the maximum permitted so all are "good" or the same (whether it is good or bad).

My experience with Netgear is negative. They rush product to market before it is even moderately debugged and they go through a series of firmware upgrades to get it to perform. While all makers upgrade firmware Netgear tends to require it solely to get the devices to perform as advertised. Once they get the bugs out they perform well BUT I no longer wish to be a "beta tester" for them.

In fact most home grade routers are lightweight and underperform but people love them for one reason only, cheap price.

Well, if you're talking about range, then you should choice Linksys. About the speed, you should choose Netgear.

Good Luck,
