I currently have comcast high-speed internet on an old computer and am buying a new one. I want to switch the connection to my new computer to access the internet. Can I just put the ethernet cord onto my new computer, or do I have to do some other stuff? I don't have any ISP software, so do I have to call comcast in order for them to install it on to my computer? I would prefer to do it myself if it's possible.

Wifi card in my laptop connects to a 54mbps connection. When I open internet explorer it will not load any pages. Need help because it was working just a couple of days ago and then wham!

I switched from cable to yahoo dsl two days ago and speed is definitely faster than cable, but someone told me that after 10 days provider will choke speed down. That initial speed is set high to get one hooked and not to cancel during probation period.

Hello, please help me on this one;

I could connect to my router's admin page normally, but then I deleted Firefox's history and now I forgot the URL. My router is a "2Wire 2700HG-R" if I recall correctly.

I tried something like http://192.168.1.66 but it just takes me to a cannot find server page. Please Help!!
