I have two connections. The first one is the 54mbps and the second one is the 11mbps. I noticed that the configuration and ip address is the same. I can connect to both, but only the second connection lets me on the internet. What is going on here?

Also it says I have 11mbps, but it says very low signal and my speed tests are only like 1500 - 2000 kbps which is terrible. That is not even ethernet speed which is suppose to be 11kbps.

1) Which, if any of these routers are your? it sounds like the 54Mb/s signal is a neighbors that has security enabled not allowing you to use the internet connection.

2) A 1.5Mb/s to 2Mb/s internet connection is really a standard speed. There are many faster speeds available for purchase, but that is not a terrible speed.

3) Ethernet does not transfer at 11Mb/s. Ethernet ratings are 10/100 or 1000Mb/s transfer speeds. 11Mb/s is the 802.11b wireless speed rating.
