I am not looking for a software solution. I am looking for something that works similar to a slingbox. I want to connect to my network attached storage via the internet.

I am moving in with a friend for a short time, and I would like to set up a wireless nework there so I may use my laptop and desktop there with one cable internet connection.
I plan on purchasing a wireless router to hook up to his modem and desktop, and I Already have a PCI card ford the laptop
My dilemma is with my desktop. A USB adapter would be easiest it seems, although I see opinions seem to vary here on weather a Wireless desktop PCI card or a USB adapter offer a better, more consistant connection.
My PC comes with only USB 1.1 ports. So I figure these are my options:
1. Get a 2.0 USB adapter, install on my 1.1 port, and live with slower connection speeds.
2. Get a wireless desktop PCI Card
3. Install a USB 2.0 PCI card and hook up a 2.0 USB adapter to it.
I am leaning towards #3, that way I can use the 2.0 ports for my ipod and camera which are now painfully slow.
Any thoughts, BTW I am semi PC savvy so please make responses simple. Thanks!

I and my friends share Internet over the LAN. The problem is they always block some TCP\IP ports, so that sometimes I cann't download file or the worst is I cann't online.
Is there any solutions?

I have one XP Pro computer upstairs and two windows ME computers downstairs on the other side of the house. The computers are connected as follows; XP, internet connection, linked with ME computer. The first ME computer has two network cards installed. One connects with the XP computer and the other connects with the second ME computer. I have gotten an internet connection on the first ME computer. My question is: how do I get an internet connection on the 2nd ME computer without buying a hub or any other equipment.

I have a signal that is always at 100%, but it;s locked. I figure I'll just offer to give them some money for access considering the person I'm using now is unreliable. What do you think $10 a month? 20?

Ok - I have WLAN. I bought a printer with a built-in print server and network connectivity. I'd like to wirelessly connect the new printer to my WLAN instead of running a LAN cable across the house from the new printer to the router. I've got an old 11g wireless router that is not being used. Can I convert the old router that is not currently being used to a wireless access point, hook it up to the new printer and use it to connect the new printer wirelessly to the WLAN. If yes - how would I do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
