I have someone that wants me to hook-up two computers network them for a realty company how much should I charge.
(the people have a LOT of money so tell me the real price ....)

80-100/hour is fair.our tech dispatch would cost 150 first hour plus 100 succeeding hours.

If you are good, and know what you are doing (and in the US) you can probably easily charge $70-100 per hour for system integration.

Now keep in mind, this is actual work time, not browse the web to ask questions, or read manuals because you don't know what you are doing, time.

Obviously this is a business and a business should expect to pay rates like this. Don't let them take advantage of you, of course don't lose the job over a few dollars an hour either.

As a general rule, a company that makes its revenue from consulting fees would take the wages of the person doing the work, then multiply by 2.2 to 2.5 for overhead charge.

If you usually work for $20 per hour, a rate of $50 would be appropriate. Also consider all of the time that it takes to do the job, your setup time, ...

At our store we charge 60 an hour for home users and 80 for business. Most companies charge even more than us for businesses 100-120. I would go based on your experience and how long it might take you.
Be competitive.

Charge for the value of the work.Basing your rates on customer wealth is a very slippery and un-ethical road.

just do it for the wages you normally make, clock howlong it takes you, multiply it by your normal hourly wages and round it up a bit.
