Try unplugging the router, then press and hold the reset button on it while you plug it in. Continue to hold the reset button down for another 30 seconds after plugging it in.
This should set your router back to factory defaults and then you should be able to access the configuration page with the default userid and password provided in the documentation for the router.
Beware that doing this factory reset will remove any settings that you have made to the router since you first installed it.
One final word of advice: once you've got control of your router back, change the password to something other than the default.
Good luck,

Is your computer's IP address on the same subnet? I think you said you changed your router's ip address to 192.168.0.254. If this is the case, you might have to change the ip address of your computer (manually, temporarily) to the 192.168.0.x subnet so that it can talk to the router. Do an ipconfig to see what your PC's IP address is.
Or, just the opposite. If you changed your router to ..0.254, and then subsequently got an ip address for your computer dynamically, and then reset the router, your computer might still have an ip address in the 192.168.0.x subnet, while the router is now at the 192.168.1.x subnet. If this is the case, the two won't talk to each other.
What shows up as your gateway when you ipconfig /all? Can you ping the listed ip address for your default gateway?

On a linksys router, open up windows explorer, type in the address bar 192.168.1.1, This should take you to the router, at the sign in screen, skip the user name and type in the password section: "admin" this should get you in the router to change your settings. when you are done, you will need to power down the router, power down the PC restart the PC and then restart your router. Good luck.

Did you hold down the reset until the lights flashed off and on? You should hold the button for about 5 - 10 secs. to be sure. Do you know the default address and userid/password? Look in the manual, or check the mfg. website.

You have not given enough information. Try pinging it (the default gateway). Can you ping yourself or the loop-back address?? Is the router a DHCP server? Do you get the correct address?

Start>Run>cmd, enter "ipconfig", itll give you some information, look for Default Gateway, take the numbers out to the right of it and enter them in your browser, and then enter your username and password, if its default then the username and pass is admin and admin.
