All of a sudden my laptop will only stay connected to the Linksys network for a few minutes before disconnecting. Before, it stayed on just fine. The only thing I did was click [repair] the connection. Sometimes even while I'm online, the network connections menu says "not connected". If you understand the settings and terminology (WEP or WPA...) could you please explain to me the steps I need to take to be able to stay connected again?
It was something in the settings; I added or removed no hardware from when it was working fine.

I work in a small office, seven computers, which all use the same internet connection through a router (my computer is wireless, some aren't). Does my internet history get recorded somewhere, and if so where and how can I get rid of it? If I take the computer home (it's a laptop) and use a different ISP is the history still recorded?

I installed a client in "Client for Microsoft Networks" under the Wireless Network Connection Properties called "Client Service for NetWare". (I hope I haven't lost anyone already) After I installed this under the Wireless Network Connection Properties (right click on Wireless Network Connetion in the Network Connections Folder and go to Properties) the logon and logout prompt changed. Before I installed it, the computer would logon without a username and password prompt. The Shut Down prompt screen has also changed. I just want the old shut down and start up prompts that Windows XP came with . . . I hope I didn't confuse anyone by giving too much detail.

BASICALLY - I want the original start up and shutdown screen WinXP came with, without having to reformat the hard drive.

Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about or how to get the screen back?

I have dsl, using a 2wire dsl modem/router, XP operating system on a dell 4500.
I think my problem started when I hooked up a centillium voip box (sent by at&t). When voip wasn't working, AT&T had me go online to to the 2wire website and change something about the ISP. The voip began working. Now my laptop cannot see my pc nor use it's printer, and likewise my pc cannot see the laptop (laptop has been wireless normally) I have run the "set-up new network", deleted and reinstalled the printer. I am not too computer savy, does something need to change somewhere else with ISP address?? Another problem I have encountered is with my online bank. They now allow deposits via scanned checks, only when I am on their website and click "scan", an error message appears saying "cannot communicate with scanner".
