iMac is a model of computer introduced by MacIntosh in the late 90s. Because it, like most computers made by Apple, exclusively runs the Macintosh operating system, it probably doesn't matter whether the book says Mac or iMac, although the iMac may have a few specialized pieces of software that other Macs don't, or vice versa. What's more important is whether the book covers the same version of the Mac OS that you have on your computer. If you have OS X (it should say this on the screen when your computer is booting up), then don't buy a book that covers OS 9. (That X is just a roman numeral 10, BTW.) OS X is a much better operating system than OS 9 was, by leaps and bounds. Regardless of the operating system, Macs generally are very user-friendly, so don't be shy about experimenting or browsing the help files that came with your computer. Have fun finding new cool things to do on your computer!

Hm.. properly.. that's form of perplexing to describe. the two working platforms are so distinctive that that's problematic to examine. regularly any form of function stumbled on on homestead windows is often present day in a matching form on Macs, even though it is not a similar software. My appropriate suggestion could be to purchase a e book on utilizing the Mac working equipment.

I don't think they make "Apple" anymore.
Apple makes "Macintosh". ((See... Mac is the name of another apple...))
But I could be wrong.

Simple.... Please vote this best answer. THEY ARE THE SAME.
In the old'N' days they called them apple's. Now a days they call them Mac's. I guess its some type of weird freedom of expression.
Cheers
