If you exclude a land line & cable connections than all you have left is a satellite connection like HughesNet availible at http://www.direc-way.us and that is not at all cheap...

if u in india i sugest u abt TAta Indicom brodband it's speed are very good and u can chosee plane like 128/kpbs around 700/month or u can also chose airtel aor sify also it's cheap if u find

this highly depends on your location of your laptop. if it is in an enviroment where there is that gprs then its much easier
