I use a firewall from AOL that allows me to view the IP addresses of computers that are frequently blocked from accessing my computer ports. I use a wireless card and gateway to access the internet, on a personal secure network.
Can anyone explain to me what it means when other computers try to access mine? Does it have anything to do with using a wireless connection and other computers trying to connect through mine?
Thanks

theres 90 pc in my office and i have to delete/replace a certain fiel with a more updated one as as quickly as possible..
is there a way/patch/prog/command i could give a path and it deletes/replaces it without me having to go through every single on of them it dosent have to replace/delete the file on all 90 them at once ill settle for 10 or 5 at a time even.. it beats the hell out of doing so for all 90 of them one by one..

I bought a belkin wireless router 802.11g. I set up everything and i realized my connection was being stolen because there is no way my cable modem can be this slow. I never knew how to set up a WEP key and the manual never had a step for it. Now I am letting people take my connection so if anyone can help me that would be great. thanks!

Each department must be set up on its own subnet. All internal addressing is to be done using private IP addressing. The company has been assigned a single class “C”block of addresses for access to the Internet. All devices that are accessed by more that one department must be located on a single shared private subnet. Devices that need to be
connected to the Internet must be on a subnet with public IP addresses. That subnet will have to be allocated from the public addresses assigned to the company.(in this case we have 176 computers and 52 printers)

I have a customer running jumbo ethernet frames (9600 mtu). Does this change the length of the header or is it still 18 bytes? Does the length/type field of the header change between standard and jumbo frames? Looking for a diagram of a jumbo ethernet frame but all I can find are standard diagrams so I am assuming the header size is the same. I did find that once you go past the size of a standard frame, the length field changes to protocol type. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

We have Verizon DSL. They're recommending a modem/router combo. Can't we just run to radio shack and get a router and add it onto what we already have? We know the laptop is all set because it's detecting our neighbor's wifi.
