However, when I click on the configuration it shows that it's connected at 100%. I can't load a webpage at all, just keep getting "page can't be found" messages. Router is working fine, as is host computer. What can I do please?

Thank you, tried that but still no internet. I did delete AVG Antivirus a couple of days ago which may have caused this problem, but I can't download it or any other antivirus back to the computer because of lack of internet access, so can't even check that option. This is so frustrating!

Sometimes this happens to me, there are two solutions

If you click on your wireless network icon there is a repair button. It disconnects the network card, reconnects it and reestablishes the IP address

Another solution is to unplu your router for 10 seconds, then plug it back in. It will reestablish the IP addresses

on the grounds which you have been waiting to hook up with the internet in college this is not likely that it is your laptop. There of direction are a million opportunities. a popular element to objective is unplug your router. on the back is a splash pinhole and using a pen push down on that and carry for 15 or so seconds. power up returned and see if it connects.
