The problem being that back of computer does not have a port for an ethernet cable to fit in ? Is there any way around this or an adaptor i could buy ?

Yes, you can go to PCWorld (for instance) and buy a network or ethernet card. They are one and the same by the way. They are also pretty cheap. I recommend a Netgear one, they are fairly good, but to be honest they are all pretty much the same!

You need an ethernet card. You can either buy one and install it into your computer or you can pick up an external usb ehternet adapter. either way you should be able to do it for under $25.

most computers have that port on them nowadays, you will have to use it through your usb port which is a pity because Ethernet is the way to go for quality and performance

You can use a normal USB cable. Your provider should have given you one with the modem.

Probably not, you mean USB unless you mean you have a Router, then you will need a network card
