i have 3 xp computers and a printer connected to one system and an ADSL connected to the one.i want to share internet and printer between them.how?

You'll need a router to share your ADSL, a hub or switch will not do that for you. Get a router with 4 LAN ports and hook everything up to it. Follow the manufacturer's instructions on setting up the router to work with your ADSL connection.
Give each machine a unique name and make sure they're on the same workgroup. Then enable sharing on the printer. All machines will now be on the internet and will be able to access the printer.

through lan share the printer easily install the network printer and in the adsl the default getway is ip of adsl
