8 bits = 1 byte
1024 bytes = 1 kilobyte (kb)
1024 kb = 1 Megabyte (Mb)
1024 Mb = 1 Gigabyte (Gb)
1024 Gb = 1 Terabyte (Tb)

No. One Gigabyte is equal to 1024 Megabytes.
FYI, hard disk drive manufactures insist that one Gigabyte is 1000 Megabytes.
But after formatting and installing your OS the drive size is determined by using 1024 and not 1000.
For memory (RAM) size however, one Gigabyte is always 1024 Megabytes. In the same way
1k(ilo)Byte is 1024 Bytes
1 MB is 1024 kB
1 GB is 1024 MB
and so on.

The different sizes are separated by 1024, so:
1 KiloByte = 1024 Bytes
1 MegaByte = 1024 KiloBytes
1 GigaByte = 1024 MegaBytes
etc

did u mean bytes?
if so,
generally,
1 Gigabytes(GB) = 1000 Megabytes(MB)
specifically,
1 GB = 1024 MB
if u mean bites,
well,
giga bites more than mega bites too....
