In other words, if you had one file that contained 1,000 pictures from a camera. You knew that some of them were duplicates even though they did not have the same file name. The only way I can think of being able to solve this problem would be to scrub it against software that could visually recognize duplicates.

The file opens up and is viewable it's just the font is all misc symbols... Like a couple random @ symbols and boxes as if the font isn't there... But I made it in the standard Arial font. I don't understand why it got corrupt when I saved it as a normal file...

I can't get it to go back to the font I saved it as. I mean, it's still Arial, but just butchered symbols...


How can I fix this!? Thanks in advance! =)

This is my personal opinion... I work on laptops daily and I get alot of dvds inopt due to drivers. and video drops after splash screen... and incompatibilties to the highest level of highest. SO TELL ME WHAT U THINK ABOUT THE NEW VISTA... I SAY IT SUX.. XP release was great to me.. BUT SERVICE PACK TWO WAS BAD, BUT NOT EVEN CLOSE TO VISTA TROUBLES.......

I have a text box in a program I'm writing that I need to become bigger so a user who's inputting text can see what they are doing.
Stats on the text box:
With Text1
.Text=""
.Scrollbars=2 'vertical
.Multiline=True
End With

Once the text reaches the end and wraps I want the Text1.Height to go up for visibility. How can I do this?

If ???? Then
Text1.Height = 300
End If

Later in Text1_LostFocus I'll change the height back...

But what would be the conditions for the program to realize that the text has wrapped?

PS I don't want to do string manipulation or font changing.. Thank you for your time!

I hear about "the blue screen of death" all the time, but I've never really known what it was, cause I've never gotten one before.

But, I think I just got one. I was just browsing the internet and a blue screen came up with an error message like "windows has shut down because of something...blah blah blah...check hard disk...blah blah"

I restarted the laptop, and everything is fine. Everything seemed fine before it blue screened.

But....does this mean everything is NOT fine? Is there something wrong with my laptop? Is it going to keep blue screening or was it just a one time thing? It's only like a month old, it can't die on me this soon! :(

There are a bunch of Family Guy videos and some other stuff that I want to take off of sites such as Youtube, convert to WMV and then put on Windows Movie Maker. I am just not sure how to do this so if someone could please tell me then I will be very happy.
P.S. If I'm making a compilation of videos or something and wish to get only a tiny clip of a long video file how do I get it?

my computer is slow and sometimes locks up if i'm just using the media player and playing cards. i know for a fact it has adware, spyware, malware and trojans/viruses on it. i have avg, zone alarm, windows defender, spybot search and destroy, ccleaner, and norton but they don't seem to work. we have had to wipe the computer twice before and well i'm just not willing to do that again damn it. we can't afford to spend money on programs, we just need something that will fix it without wiping.

i have a few movies in avi format i bought. i try playing them on my computer using WMP, Real, VLC, QuickTime and alot of others and the video does not show up, only audio. occasionally a bunch of red dots in the general outline of the image will show up on the video but no clear video. i have downloaded FFdshow codec and it still doesnt work. what can i do?

Does the deleted data from the hard disk go to the atmosphere? Though I have a 80 GB hard drive, I would have deleted at least 500 GB of data till date i.e. store something, access it and if not required, delete it.. So, I was wondering where does all these deleted data go? Are there no space constraints for the deleted data? Just curious.

i have a compaq presario i got and error on start up that the ntldr is compressed press ctrl alt delete but i can do that all day and it will go to the same screen if anyone knows how to fix this i would greatly appreciate to help me figure this out
