Click on 'Folders' in the Explorer button bar
so the tree view appears. Then shut it down
while holding shift-ctrl... (click close gadget).
This makes explorer memorize your preset.

Right click on your desktop and create a shortcut on your desktop, then the next dialog box, in the location line type:

C:\WINDOWS\explorer.exe /e, C:\

Click Next

Type a name for the shortcut and click Finish.

Windows may change the target line to:
%windir%\explorer.exe /e, C:\
but that is fine too.

Will open explorer with a folder view like you want.

truthfully executed, i assume you're utilising living house windows XP. Open the administration panel and double click "Folder suggestions" a clean window will open, interior the "widely used" tab, 2nd class down the place it says "Browse Folders" decide on "Open each and every folder interior an analogous window" click "notice" then "ok" and you're executed.
