when i try installing my computer game the sims complete collection it says

what does tha mean???

Hello, I'm going to restore my computer with the restore disk but I need to know if I need to have anything besides the disk to restore it? On my last computer when i restored it i had to type in some sort of number, will I need to type in a number for this computer and where can i find that number.

ok so i'm an idiot and tried to download a program to watch a video and as soon as i did i've been getting pop ups for "anti-virus" things and all of a sudden i get a porn pop up. i've looked in my programs to see if i need to delete anything and i have deleted anything that remotely looks suspecious but they still keep on coming......

i can't afford a new computer can somebody please help me with this

In an Excel spreadsheet is it possible (and if so, how) to copy data that are the results of a formula to another spreadsheet without bringing over all the raw data. I just get "#REF!" when trying to paste in the new spreadsheet obviously because I'm not also copying the source data... but I don't want the source data in the new spreadsheet. It this possible?

Looking for another external drive. I bought the My Book 500 gig from Western Digital and it lasted three weeks...then refused to boot. I am looking for suggestions outside of Western Digital. So please... those of you who have working MY Books...refrain from telling me how you bought ten for your network and a year later all work well and how all you have used is WD and how you never have problems...I am looking for suggestions for drives NOT made by Western Digital. I want a program that will rid of pop-ups, spyware, adware, protect my computer from virus.. perform routine scans, tell me what's going on with my computer, etc... Anyone have a GREAT program that does all this and is TRUSTFUL... I don't want something that will have continous pop-ups asking me to let this in, deny this, accept this, etc.. I can't stand that!

I'm purchasing a Notebook so I can actually be around the family while I play games, rather than a hermit in my room. However, I want the best gaming laptop I can afford, and I'm not a fan of Intel, so I'm going with AMD.

Now, AMD has released Turion. I don't know anything about it other than it saves battery life, but does that mean it's not as powerful as Athlon?

Please help, I'm a heavy gamer trying to build a laptop from HP, and I don't know if I should choose Turion or Athlon for my processor.

Keep in mind I'll be gaming the entire time.

My PC is infected with SCVHOST.exe and I can't get rid of it. I thought that svchost.exe (note the different spelling) is a normal thing the computer executes, and scvhost.exe is one and the same thing, or is it?

I logged on the safe mode to access Tools > Folder Options but I couldn't. I pressed control+alt+del and said the task manager was disabled as well. I got an AVG anti-virus (unupdated because that PC is used for offline purposes) and scan the pc only to produce nothing as a result. I run gpedit.msc and msconfig but I couldn't too.

What will I do?

Hi, I'm hoping to make a private Telnet server for me and a few friends however I'm behind a router that assigns my IP address so my server doesn't have a static IP. Does anyone know if I can connect to my Telnet server over the internet without having to plug my server directly into the modem?

i had a small form barebone, running intel socket 478. it stopped turning on last week, i was pretty sure it was the power supply. No fan, would turn off as it tried to start...

so i got another sff barebone off ebay. I put the ram, cpu, hd
from the old into the "used" ebay sff.

Now when i try to boot, it turns on, turns off, the first couple of times i got this pink/green screen and powered down.

Now it just fires up and turns off after beeping once. I was checking the bios beep code...looks like it just the "attempt to boot" standard beep.

Anyways...is this a problem with my cpu all along? does the pink screen mean i got a bad video card on the new system?

help!!!!
