I have a custom built home theater pc .With a Asus a8n32 sli Mobo. It has dual ethernet on the board .Can I get Wicked Blistering fast Internet By connecting 2 dsl modems on 2 seperate phone lines and seperateDSL accounts if neccecary?

The reason this doesn't work is fairly simple.

When you send a request to an internet site your computer sends your IP information on where that remote site needs to reply. It replys to the IP given. If you have two modems it would still only reply to the one sending the request. Your computer WONT request it on both and even if it did the responses would not be received at exactly the same instant so no you can't combine DSL this way.

You can contact your ISP and see if they offer BONDED dsl lines. Those will be treated as a single IP and thus will increase your speed. So basically the only way to get more TOTAL bandwidth is to have a higher speed DSL line.

No. If you want to do that, you're going to have to spend a lot more money than you will with DSL lines.

no and why pay money for 2 accounts? if you want faster go cable.
