Mac OS X. there is a decent selection of software available for the Mac OS X. Linux is for techno geeks, not average computer users.

Macintosh runs on Linux and has a cleaner interface, but hides most of the administrative functions and has fewer programs available than Windows or Linux. Comes with Plug N Play.
Linux is more stable than Windows but can be frustrating to get things done until you learn your way around. I have heard of Linux systems running over 4 years without rebooting, even while hosting websites and a mail server. Plug N Play is flaky.
Windows. What can I say? Everyone knows Windows, how it has more software available for it, has many more options to get things done quicker than the other two systems, yet with that comes rebooting more often to prevent crashing. Comes with Plug N Pray.

There is no one single answer. It depends upon the user and what their needs are. I personally like Linux, and have been using it since the days of Red Hat 5.1. However, I work in tech support and most of my users have enough problems with Windows that if they had to use Linux, well, I'd throw myself out the window since it would be less painful than trying to support them. The things that attract me to it (power, flexibility, configurability) are exactly what would make it difficult for my users. Windows is also better for gaming, and has a much larger software base. While I'm not a graphics person, everyone I know who does graphics professionally swears by the Mac.
It depends upon the user.

ONE WORD:
As for now - Go For Windows
After a year - Go For Linux bcoz more feature rich, powerful linux distros are on their way to release in near future. Linux is robust and flexible. There 'll be linux distros that imitate windows environment. Hardware support that is a matter now but very soon u'll see hardware vendors distributing drivers for linux boxes.
Dump the idea of Mac OS X
P.S : My personal request to u is to use OpenSource softwares as far as possible unless there is no other option.

One of each.
Well actually multiples of each.
My internet servers run on linux. I host webpages, email accounts, host multiplayer games, online chats, etc.
Most internet servers are now linux.
My desktop computers for games and toys is Windows XP. Most desktop computers are windows.
Mac is my choice for portables and laptops. I want it do things like internet surfing and word documents without worrying about it crashing or getting infected, but I dont want to have to learn all new territory from my windows machine. Im not sure if most laptops are mac but I wouldnt be surprised.

Solaris x 86 on PCs, Solaris on a Sun.
MUCH more stable than Windows, OS X, or Linux.
I have a Sun Ultra 80 that has been running over two years on the same boot, except for the patch installs...

I even have used the two living house windows and Mac. At paintings I even have living house windows, and at living house i take advantage of a MacBook. certainly, I want the Mac now. I miss having be conscious on my workstation regardless of the undeniable fact that. If I had to flow with one, i could nonetheless say mac. It by no skill breaks! Plus - I even have by no skill had an epidemic or an in depth down concern.
