The email that you got about winning a lottery is a SCAM. In fact it's a type of advanced fee fraud that a lot of people have become a victim of. You can find out more about this type of scam at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advance_fee_fraud I get them all the time at my email address. I even got one in regular mail last summer.

The best thing for you to do is:

1.) Ignore it
2.) DON'T reply to it
3.) Mark it as spam so you won't get it in your inbox again
4.) Most importantly, NEVER SEND ANY MONEY

Here's some things to keep in mind:

You can't win the lottery if you never entered it in the first place.

If it looks or sounds too good to be true then it probably is.

I hope this helps. ♥

Sounds to me like you already know it's BS.

So let's look at this logically, someone you don't know and never heard of, mailed you an 'official' sounding email (from a free email server too I bet), telling you that you won millions of dollars, and all you have to do is send them 1,145.47.

You won this because they 'randomly' picked your email, to enter into yet another lottery.

I am betting that if you actually did pay the 1145.00, you would 'miraculously' win the second drawing too, for a fee of course.

Seems to me, that the director of a lottery could do better than emailing a million dollar winner from a free web based email server.

My BS meter is pegged out on this one and all like it.

This is a internet fraud. Please don't get carried away by the big voloume of money or else you will loose the $1146 and then you will realise that you are cheated, and can't do anything.

This a trick to hack your digital mail. you should touch Yahoo admins who will ask you to deliver it to them with particular info. in case you reside in Egypt and you have particular doubts that somebody someplace could be attempting to thieve your account and digital mail address, you should touch the IC police. in case you already sent your info and password, attempt to alter it now in any different case your account would be stolen.

Reminds of an old Monty Python song:

spam spam spam spam.

I hope you didn't send any money.
