I'm thinking of buying a wireless router when I get set up in my new apartment, but I don't know what the minimum internet connection speed has to be in order for it to work. Would 256Kbps be enough? Do I need a higher speed?

Every time I shut down or even log off user I get the message "Ending Program ccApp" then, "this program is not responding" I was going to remove it from the start menu but I don't know what it relates to. Any ideas?

i give help! every time i go on line i see on my antivirus that other people are sending e-mails from my line... i need a soft ware that can clear this up... what should i do ? where can i find something that will help stop this problem... can any one help PLEASE VERY VERY PLEASE . thank you

my new IBM 15 .4 " laptop has windows prof x/p. I got it 3 days ago. It works great most of the time and i must have restarted it about 15 times in the last 3 days - but it frooze once and twice when i started it the icons did not come on the screen for a long time and I had to repower it each time
ran PC doctor & it passed all the tests. The IBM tech reps i spoke with don't have a clue.
.......could this be an indication of a major problem and should i return the machine ( i have 21 days to return ) OR should i try some fixes that you recommend

hi i have windows XP on a fairly new powerful PC . i want to do work on linux now since i am fed up with the blokes in redmond . i love technology but dont know about writing codes in command lines etc . i can tinker with my BIOS and change my graphics card and update drivers and install windows . u get what i mean ....
my questions are
A ) i want to dual boot on a multipartition XP drive .
B ) which is a good free download of linux which is not too confusing
C ) i know i can get Skype etc for linux but can MS office work / if not any migration programs ?
D ) i have pentium D 820 ( 2.8 GHz ) .is it a 64 bit download of linux for it ?
please give me also some sites to help me migrate my life from Win XP to Linux over a period of a year or so ... thank you very much in advance ....ALL VALUES CAN GROW ONLY IN FREEDOM so no Microsoft for me from now ......

I can access the panel through " run / type dxdiag " once im there I go to the video settings tab yet there is nothing to lower the video settings to a lower rate so I can fix a problem in game. Does anyone know how to adjust Dxdiag video settings?

Hi!

I am trying to figure out how to update all html documents (about 100 pages) all at once or with script , so that I do not need to do it manually ? I need to update menu with new link in all pages. Is this doable ? or do I need to open every pages and do it manually ? Thanks

When I tried to copy them back to the hard disk of the CDs gave me the following error Data error ( Cyclic Redundancy Check )
I tried cleaning the CDs with water and dishwashing soap but got the same error even tried copying them to another computer same thing so what to do?

I have two copies of Windows XP installed both on the same partition. Before I installed the second one (for repair purposes) I noticed my total avalible memory was like 950mb or something. Since installing the second OS I noticed it dropped to around 550mb. Is a certain amount of memory being devoted to each OS which in turn is decreasing performance?

My ram (so far):
OCZ Platinum XTC PC2-6400 2GB 2X1GB DDR2-800 CL4-5-4-15 240PIN DIMM Dual Channel Memory Kit

I want to know If I can also add 2-2GB ram sticks, while also having the 2-1GB sticks, or will this somehow negativly affect my computer performance. Not sure if I can mix 2GB and 1GB ram sticks. I do have 4 slots (2 free) on my MB.

i want one that has the internet thing so you don't have to stick the wireless card in, it's built in. i'll be using it for school (college papers, research), myspace, yahoo answers, other internet pleasures. i also like to put my music on there (and i have a lot of that), and i shoot movies and music videos with my friends so I'll be editing it on this computer. i need a lot of internal memory because the one i have now (a SUPER old one of my dad's) is down to 1% memory left and i have barely anything on there. not a very big gamer, hearts and pinball just about does it for me, and i don't like MAC computers. also i need one that comes with the firewall cable port and a dvd player and cd burner. if there is a computer out there like that, can you give me the link? (or just tell me where i can find it). i have about $50 dollars now and i am making approx. $65 a week (give or take a few, some weeks it's $20, others it's $100). so i still have a ways to go, but thanks for all your help.
