I just got a hp Pavilion dv2000 about 3 weeks ago and now its messing up. When I load up Vista Home Premium and get to the login screen it might freeze. The mouse won't work. Nothing works. If I get to the desktop it might freeze. If I boot in safe mode and try a system restore it might freeze. Everything I do eventually my laptop will freeze. How can I fix it? I think its windows cuz I don't think I have a virus.

Trying to improve the speed of my boot up. I used "registryfix" to scan my machine and improve the speed. This cost me approx. £20 last year, I scanned this week and they say I had 30 prob's which was resolved. Machine no faster.On advice I loaded "regcure" who said I had 300 probs and for £20 resolved them.Machine no quicker. I tried a freebie "pointstone" who said I still have 300 probs but for another £30 would resolve them. What is going on?

it was on my old computer I have been working on I downloaded AVG scanner and it came up with a bunch of virus and it deleted all of them but this one and it said We recommed you restart your computer using an operating system from a virus-free system diskett or cd rom then use the AVG Rescue Disk and remove the virus by healing. Please select one of the following options:(R)eboot and restart system from virus free diskette(C)ontinue at your own risk.
can anyone tell me what to do.

I sold this toy yesterday to this couple. The toy was new and in the box, but I advertised it and said I OPENED THE BOX but NEVER ASSEMBLED THE TOY and put the toy BACK IN THE BOX. So the toy is there, in the box, the box is opened on one side.
This lady emailed me about 100000x asking questions and I answered all of them completely honestly. Finally she said she was sending her husband to come pick it up. She changed the pick up time on me about 5 times. He finally came and got the toy.

Not an hour later, I had a message on my cell and two on my house phone from them. I'm not calling them back. I emailed them.

They told me that I falsely advertised a new toy and they want their money back. They're kidding, right??? The fact that they have a LISTENING issue is not my problem. I told them to go to walmart and exchange it to get a new one, because thats how I bought the toy there.

Is there anything that obligates me to refund their money? They got a new $25 for $10. Its EXACTLY how I said it was and its the POINT of it all...I really DON'T want to give them back their money after all this, but I don't want to get in trouble either. Any suggestions?

Okay , i brought a notebook afew days ago , with 2gb ram and all that .Everything is fine except the graphics card , i know the graphic card isnt that good and isnt for gaming but can anyone name a game that at least i can play ?

i brought Call of duty 2 and ffs , it can be played , real pissed now , can this notebook play battlefield 2 ??? or BF 2142 or nice games that anyone recommends ?

I've been selling things on eaby for quite some time and the fees are really cutting into my profits. I have quite a few returning customers so was thinking of creating a website they could go to instead to buy my items.

I haven't a clue where to start though. I have another website I'm working on but it doesn't sell anything. It cost me £150 and gave templates and advice so I wouldn't have to use html. I'd like to go for something cheaper (preferably free!) with my new site though. Does anyone know any good services which don't require html knowledge?

Also, is it hard to create credit card payment options? And are there charges involved?

It would be great if someone could offer me some advice. Thanks

I have a .com address with 1&1 webhosting.
I am using Dreamweaver to build my site.
Everything is working so far, but I have one issue. It may be simple to resolve, but I don't know what to do.
Right now, when you go to mysite.com, an error page comes up, but when you go to mysite.com/index.html, my home page pops up.
I want to make it so that you don't have to type in index.html to get to my home page.
I want mysite.com to redirect to mysite.com/index.html without the visitor typing the whole thing in.
Any advice?

Greetings to all ,

I wish to get a laptop (have never had one thus my knowledge is 0) so I would like to get some information before getting one . So here are some of the brands I was thinking : a HP or Dell laptop .

My needs are basically for surfing the net , watching videos , hearing music , must be durable and I also have a ZD screen recorder which I will need to install.

Is there any things I need to be aware of when buying. does it get hot easily (if so i was thinking of using my fan and place it directly at it, is that advisable ? ) and whats this dual core , proccessor which I often see it on the laptops specs.

I am taking online classes with a local college. One of them is computer usage, which I clearly need! My boyfriend brought a tower from his office, as our desktop was old and slow.
