I have a compaq persario sr1123wm and PCI cards are the only ones compatabile with it, not AGP nor PCI-E, anyone know of some graphic cards that supports directx10 but is a PCI card?
I mostly want one for my sim games and FEAR. but buying a graphics card with directx9c would be useless since everything will eventually move up to directx10

I recently got a laptop and downloaded a version of Star Office on it because I couldnt pay for a microsoft office. I recently wrote an english paper using star office but my laptop doesnt have a printer and the computer im printing from only has microsoft word. Microsoft word wont let me open the Star office document, but I need to or else I cant print my paper. Does anyone know how to open Star Office documents in Microsoft word?

I turned it on and log in. It went to the desktop screen and there was a black line that keep on appearing and disappearing, the monitor made a "tick" sound every time it happened. Please help...because i need my computer for most of my school work.

Music Match Jukebox comes with my computer for free. When I got the message that Yahoo bought it out and that it's services were ending Aug.31 I tried to upgrade. Every time I try to do the installation process it always says failed. I'm not a plus user. Now I understand that these are the requirements:

Windows XP with Service Pack 2 (32-bit versions) or Vista (32 and 64-bit versions)
Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher
Windows Media Player 9.0 or higher ( Yahoo! Music Jukebox Plus requires Windows Media Player 10 or higher)
Pentium III 1GHz processor
Latest Windows Service Packs (SP2 is recommended)

The requirements I know I meet is that I have an XP. I could easily upgrade my Windows Media to 9.0. But how do I know if I have Internet Explorer 6.0, Pentium III 1GHz processor, and the latest Windows Service Packs. Could someone please help me. I would truly appreciate it.

I am creating a powerpoint (for the first time but ive seen it done before) instead of having just one picture I want to insert a slide show of pictures on one slide. I am using my school computers which has the latest in all the Mircosoft programs (2007) is there a way to do this? I created a slideshow with photobucket but I dont think that will work.. I have a

2ghz amd 64 processor
1.5 gigs of ram
and a x1600 graphics card

i recently upgraded to vista ultimate and the computer crashes alot. It works smoother then on my Amd x2 1 gig laptop but if i open alot of windows at once it crashes and i have given up using steam on that copmuter at the moment. What could be the problem

I wrote a novel, but my laptop got a virus on it so I called HP (The makers of my laptop) and followed the guy's instructions and put in a disk that restored my computer to factory settings. I was in a hurry at the time and totally forgot about my novel, I remembered it like five minutes after I hung up the phone! My novel is R E A L L Y important to me, I worked really hard on it.
