I taught my computer to speak a language that consists of farting and tap-dancing while reading Kurt Vonnegut. I wish I had never done it.

Back in the '80s I made my own home security system.

It worked but talk about WIRES all over the place. I was lucky my wife didn't divorce me before I took it all apart.

(and I even had the damn thing calling phone numbers and using speech to let me know when it tripped. Ahhh, the good ol' days and the Texas Instruments TI-99A)

I deleted some .dll files on my work computer and the thing never worked right afterwards. Even after a computer techie fixed it. I got fired.

This was many years ago.

Not performing regular backups of my data and lost the data when the computer crashed and I was forced to reformat and reinstall Windows.

Flash the BIOS with the wrong BIOS update. It totally crashed the motherboard and system.
