I recently got a laptop and downloaded a version of Star Office on it because I couldnt pay for a microsoft office. I recently wrote an english paper using star office but my laptop doesnt have a printer and the computer im printing from only has microsoft word. Microsoft word wont let me open the Star office document, but I need to or else I cant print my paper. Does anyone know how to open Star Office documents in Microsoft word?

Two possibilities.

In StarOffice, open the document and then choose "Save As", and select the Word file format you want from the FileBrowser display.

OR.

Use the Export as PDF option to convert the file to a Adobe Acrobat PDF file. These are printable as long as the printing computer has Acrobat. It's a free download if it doesn't (www.adobe.com) However, PDF files are not editable unless you have the expensive authoring version of Acrobat.
