Ok, Here is what I got. I have an ATI Radeon 9700 video card, in a computer that I built using spare parts from my friends Alienware. I have it hooked up via S-Video cable to my TV which is a Samsung 50'' LCD HDTV. My problem is that even though I am running the latest drivers, the resolution on my TV image (which is a clone of my desktop) is just terrible. I have a friend with a RCA LCD 52'' hooked up in much the same way ( except he uses VGA, an option I don't have), but his picture is crystal clear. Is there a setting I can change to repair this? Or is my friends LCD just a better TV for this type of connection? Or are my dreams of having as crystal clear 50'' HD image to play Call of Duty 3 on just a bit too lofty? Should I try to upgrade to Vista (grrr) or just stick with XP Pro? Any advice, good or bad, would be much appreciated. Thank you!!

Hi,
I want to buy, from the US, a new Graphics Card to SLI it with my current (UK version) 7600GT and a 1GB memory stick (PC3200 400Mhz 184-pin DIMM) to combine it with my other stick in the UK........because it is cheaper.

I would like to know if there will be any problems in combining US and UK components on in a PC and if the make of the memory stick I want to buy has to be the same as the one I currently have, similarly with the Graphics Card.

I have an IBM X40 laptop and I want to be able to recharge it in Europe. Can I do it with only a plug adapter, or do I need to somehow convert the voltage? Or can I buy a power cord which will allow me to safely charge it overseas?

I had internet explorer 6.1 on my PC and it was giving me problems. So I removed it by going to add remove programs and tried downloading the same version through my firefox browser. I.E. first gets saved then when i run it a message says that there is a higher version installed in the system, hence can not continue. How do i resolve this issue?

the other sytem requrements are all fine but it has an Integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 3100
video/graphics card.
will that run it or does it need a graphics card made by NVIDIA or ATI?

i think my pc got infected with Mblast and trojan.termex...i have uninstalled the yahoomessenger..the connection is so slow and is even frequently disconnected. before this happened, i got the hardisk reformatted . i used the Mcafee anti-virus but all the same, Mblast virus infected it...then the trojan termex came next..how do i remove these viruses?

why do some times monitor desktop screen goes up and down left and right and becomes half . it looks like somebody

is pulling from inside the monitor/

is it the prob with monitor or graphic card /


i have not kept cell phone near the monitor nor it is ringing or i havee not switched on the
fan nothing then why it is showing like this. when i click any desktop icon then the entire screen shakes go left . i tried adjusting the settings by pressing the button on monitor still going left right the screen by the side it shows blank blue screen . only half screen seen

Every time I change computers there are some documents I can no longer open. Since I have parts of a book on some of these programs I lose anything I have not printed. This time if I used note pad it transfered, every thing else cannot be opened. I went from millenium to Xp. Then Xp regular to xp professional. I have some in microsoft word, and some in another common program ( cannot remember the name). Should I purchase a program or what? The only thing I dont like about word pad is it does not offer much help for fomatting and no spell check, or page numbering. What should I do?

Ive just been writing a question on here and pressed a button by mistake as I was typing, when I looked at the screen the internet toolbars at the top have disappeared, but one comes back when I put my cursor at the top of the screen. My touchpad won't respond to me tapping it. The cursor moves fine when I run my finger over the touchpad, but it won't do anything when I tap it. What has caused this? What can I do about it? I installed three Windows updates last night, and then another one this morning. Could this have had an affect on the touchpad? I have tried restarting, but it hasn't helped.

i recently bought a nikon coolpix L11 but when i insert the picture project or the user manual cd inside the cd drive nothing happens. no cd icon pops up on the screen as it should do. what can i do? i really need to print these pictures. it is quite important. is there any other way i could print them.
