Your disk drive is dead. Have you been inside the computer lately? If so, make sure all your cables are plugged in tight.
If not, take it to a shop, could be a disk failure or maybe power supply.

If you need a floppy to boot then I guess you run Win 98 or similar. If you dont have a boot disc but have the original installation disc, have a friend make a boot disc on their computer.
If your computer is now asking for floppy in A drive and you havent changed any settings(including deletion) there is a chance your computer has become corrupted and/or infected which would mean that certain information to boot computer has become invalid.
If so I would suggest having a professional research the problem.
I am guessing if you are asking such a question you are probably not aware of the runnings of a PC so I would not recommend changing BIOS settings.
However ,as suggested, maybe your HDD has failed, then you will need to be replacing it!
This is very brief info and probably not much help in getting your PC running again but I would hope that if not me,someones answer will sort problem for you.
Hope you have your computer running soon. :)

Whilst the system is booting hit the key and go into the BIOS Setup. From here you can adjust the boot sequence and make it look at the Hard drive for the operating system instead of just the floppy. It is of course possible that you have been infected with a virus or trojan horse in which case a full re-install is the only way out.

if you can't really boot your computer, try to change the bios setup, it may be reconfigured.
1. restart your computer and press del a number of times until the bios setup will appear
2.got to the advanced settings or the advanced tab, then in the boot sequence, set your hard disk as your primary boot device.
3.save current changer/settings then exit. the computer will reboot automatically.
if this configuration does not solve the problem, maybe your boot system became corrupt. try to open the computer in safe mode.
1. restart computer
2. press f8 a number of times until the system boot modes will appear
3. select safe mode only then it will open your computer.
4. if it works, try to restore your computer to an earlier time to recover your deleted/corrupted system files.
still doesn't work? maybe you must now have to reformat your Operating System if you have the Windows Installation Disc.
1. restart your computer and press del a number of times until the bios setup will appear
2.got to the advanced settings or the advanced tab, then in the boot sequence, set your CD-ROM as your primary boot device, and Hard Disk as your Secondary boot device.
3.save current changer/settings then exit. the computer will reboot automatically.
4. Insert the Windows installation Disc
5. wait for screen instructions to boot from cd rom, then it will ask you if you want to boot from a CD ROM, press any key or press enter then the Windows Setup will now appear...

throw this computer out the window and buy a new one.
Just kidding. Actually if you have a local computer place that you go to they may have the disc you need. If not you may have to re-install your operating system on the computer...

this message comes, if you have put a floppy disk that is NOT a boot disk into the drive while booting up .. remove it and restart.
alternately you can enter BIOS and change the boot sequence.. you can boot from C: first .. then this will not happen .. but remember to change it back when you are reinstalling from scratch anytime later...
