My touchpad won't respond to me tapping it. The cursor moves fine when I run my finger over the touchpad, but it won't do anything when I tap it. What has caused this? What can I do about it? I installed three Windows updates last night, and then another one this morning. Could this have had an affect on the touchpad? I have tried restarting, but it hasn't helped.

All answers (providing they're serious) are very much appreciated. Thank you very much.

One of the updates may have broken your touchpad. In general, don't install driver updates unless your current driver is broken.
See if you can uninstall the updates you installed yesterday.

Easy fix is to install a mouse.
