my laptop is Toshiba m-45. when the Fn button turns on it gives me a strange functions like, the letter on the keyboard don't work ,or i type letters to get numbers instead.

Hi guys.
I had my pc for about a year-working fine till now. (its an Asus motherboaRD,AMD 64 3200+,2x512 ram ddr). I was watchign a film on it last nite,was working fine. This morning switched it on as normal to check e-mail etc.
It bootted up fine, but then before it went to the windows logging screen it powered off. Clicking on the power button didnt work. to switch it back on again, i had to remove it from the mains and connect it again. Switched it back on and again it powered off at the same point.
I havent had the time yet to do any troubleshooting as i had to go to work, but i tried to log-in via safe mode, i log in normally and as soon as it tries to load window's it powers of again (no blue screen no nothing,just switches off and cant' switch it on until i remove it from the mains and reconnect it). i checked the CPU fan seems to be working fine.
I've heard some stuff on dodgy MOBO capacitors, but havent checked... any ideas anyone had something similar happen?

I'm helping a friend put up a site with about 700 (so far) devotional messages he's written over the past several years, and I'd like to find some kind of script that will let me create topical lists of links, but not get bogged down in having to type and/or save 700 separate file names. I'd like to be able to input, for example, a date as the file name, input the content and then output each page as either an HTML or PHP file, and then a list of files by date under each topic?

I lost my .ZIP passoword where I have all my important documents... which I really need them back.

I hit a wrong key or something and my Answers screen has completely changed.Everything is in great big fonts and the color scheme has changed but only on Yahoo answers.How do I get it back to normal?

"Ity's like thgis " .... actuallty I am writing "It's like this".
When I press a key two characters are appearing on the screen like "vm" when I have just press "m", "bn" for "b" and "fj" for just "f".

Is there something wrong with the keyboard or is this due to some kind of a bug or virus in my PC......

Hi,

I have a really crappy computer. IT's a pentium 3 with about 500 MHZ. I was wondering if I add ram to my comp, will it significantly go any faster? Rite now I'm runnin on 384 MB RAM. It takes about 2 full secondes to load a regular web page while using Comcast high scpped interent and mozilla firefox. Since this proccessoer is so slow anyway, will it help if I put any more RAM on it, or is the proccessor so slow already that no matter what I do with the computer, it will stay slow as is?

Ive been having problems with GeForce 8800 Graphics card. i thought it would run with a 550 watt power supply, it didnt. it kept dying, so i thought the comp was overheating cause of no proper ventilation. now im back to the conclusion that its the power supply which it too weak to handle the video card. the computer only dies when i play a game. it dies about 5-10 mins into the game.

what do i do? what do i get? do i need a better power supply? is it really the ventilation? i really need help...
