I have a dell insperon 5100 runing xp. mac Power pc mac os 9
and dell insperon 5100. Also cannon mp600 printer hookes up to mac.

how do i wirelesly print?

I will mainly use it for internet, photos and music (and I already own an external hard drive for storage). I do not think I would purchase a Mac, but I have been looking at HPs and Dells online. People have said a lot of negative things about Dell computers, but it seems that HPs don't come with very many options. I'm trying not to be suckered into purchasing a laptop because it comes in a cute color , but I want something that appeals to me. This will become my only computer..... (I would like to stay between $800 and $2000 dollars.)

Does virtual and physical memory work together....For example. Lets say I have 1 GB of PHYSICAL RAM and I put 3000 MB of Virtual RAM would My PC run like it has 4 GB of RAM?????

i went to her work at the beginning of the summer, her boss just threw me out and i hadnt talked to her since, it took me a year to talk to her and she knew all that time i liked her...now its been three months since weve talked, school year started gain and i gots her in my spanish class...wut do i say just to start talking to hr again??? idk if she is or is not interested in me, but i want to become a little more appealing to her, maybe start with some small talk, i think maybe talk to her after class is over, catch her at the door and say hey christy, hows it going, and maybe talk about her classes, wut do u guys suggest i do?? i want to definately start off with small talk, oh when i went and talked to her i only talked to hr about 10-15 minutes, so she knows my name and knows i like her, but thats it...please help

Here's the story. I was in sort of a rush the other day. I was ordering some books i need for class and I recently saw the mistake i made.

Can my books still be shipped to me? Can they find me?
I forgot my street name....I thought i made it.
Can't the shipping place still find me by looking for the cardholder's address?
I've spent at least $250 at this website: www.textbooks.com

If not, what can i do?

I am currently borrowing my adviser's laptop. Just now it had some strange issues and cut off and would not start back up. I unplugged it from the AC adapter and it came back on. I tried to plug the adapter back in and it shut off and would not come back on. I am plugging it into the comp before the outlet. What could cause this problem? I am a little nervous because I am borrowing it and I don't want to tell him it broke while it was in my care.

When I try to chat, another window is suppose to open up but its not. When someone sends me a chat invite and I accept it, the window does not open up. I notice error on the status bar every time i click accept. What should I do to correct this problem?

I'm starting school in week and am looking to get a laptop before then. I was just wondering if there's a huge difference in speed, or whatever else it might impact (other than cost) in the two processors.
I'm not a gamer or a programmer, I'd just use it for basic everyday things.. school, music, streaming vids, etc. Is it worth shelling out more money for the core 2 duo? I know how fast technology changes.

I thought there was a way to insert a picture, and then pick which way you wanted the words in your text box to go - straight down, stretched over the picture, curved under, etc. Is there a way to do this in Word or is it just in Powerpoint? Could I do it in Paint? I have a brand new Compaq notebook with Windows Vista on it, but Word 97 (I hated Vista Word).
Any help would be appreciated...thanks.

I just got cable/internet and we got a modem that was connected to my roommates computer. I have a wireless router that i had from my old house. I hooked it up earlier and everything worked great. then my roommate turned off the power strip where the modem and wireless were plugged into. now after turning it back on, the router isn't working. My laptop gets an excellent signal but it won't connect. it just keeps "acquiring network address". anyone know how to fix this? and if you could also explain how to hook it up because i'm not sure if its hooked up right.

also, i've tried unplugging everything and plugging it back in, restarting computers and so on. thank so much

my computer shuts down on it own while standing in the normal position, i figured it was to hot so i took of the cover to check things out.
If i leave it on its side i have no problems, but soon as i stand it up two seconds later it shuts off. My big fan kicks on and seems to be running ok. I can leave it on its side but i dont know if that makes burning discs more difficult . Any ideas, im a little educated but confused, thanks for any help in advance.

So I was using Internet Explorer 6 (or whatever is the brand-new one) recently and I love how the favorites list is set up, on the left side with the little scroll bar that makes finding things really fast. Anyway, I just downloaded Firefox 'cause IE is slow and kind of crappy and sucks up memory, but I hate that it uses the old crappy bookmark system, where you have to scroll for like 20 minutes to get to the end of your bookmark list because you can't jump there. Is there something I can download to make the bookmarks thinger on Firefox more like IE's?
