Is it your monitor, or is it your system.

If your system is slow, then the monitor will not display anything.

Try leaving your system up, with power management off, then after an hour or so and the monitor has cooled down turn it on.

If it comes up slowly, then you have a duff monitor. If it come up quickly then try the opposite.

Leave your monitor on and power down the system. Leave it to cool down for an hour, then turn it back on. If the image comes up slowly then there is something amiss with the system, if it comes up quickly then something weird is happening!

Never heard of monitor taking 15 minutes to turn on before.
Is this an old monitor? If so, might have to get a new one.

I'm doubting it's the Monitor's fault. Your system probably just isn't displaying anything.

Try this test:

Next time you think the monitor should be displaying and it isn't, hit the menu button on the monitor.

If the menu pops up, your system is at fault. If it doesn't, the monitor is at fault.

These things are notorious for popping power inverter boards or the external dc adapter. If your voltage is off - the LCD will do strange things.

Try plugging into another outlet. :)
